Father, son among 3 killed in M`singh road crash

Three people, including a father and his son, were killed while another two injured as a private car hit a covered-van on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway at Nishinda in Bhaluka upazila of Mymensingh on Sunday morning.

The deceased were identified as Kadir Master, 65, a village doctor and his son Jewel Khan, 45, of Jamirdia village of the upazila.

The identity of the remaining deceased could not be ascertained yet. However, it is known that he was the car driver.

According to police sources and locals, the Mymensingh-bound speeding private car hit the covered-van from behind around 10:30 am, leaving Kadir dead on the spot, and four including his three sons Jewel Khan, Bachir Khan, Biplob Khan injured.

Later, they were taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where Jewel Khan and the driver died while undergoing treatment.

Mamun ar Rashid, officer-in-charge of Bhaluka Model Police Station, confirmed the information.
