Akbar Hossain Pathan Farooq, a talented actor and Dhaka-17 MP, is going to Singapore for better treatment due to his deteriorating physical condition. He will leave Dhaka for Singapore on Sunday.

Farooq himself confirmed the matter on Wednesday night.

The legendary actor has been suffering from fever for the last one month. He was admitted to United Hospital in the capital on August 18. He was thought to be suffering from coronavirus infection. However, the result of this becomes negative in several cases. He returned home on August 26 after recovering from several days of treatment at the hospital.

He was admitted to United Hospital again on August 31 due to his critical illness. Samples of typhoid, dengue and malaria were also tested besides coronavirus tests for the second time. The result of everything came negative. But the fever did not respond to the anxiety and suspicion grew with this talented actor.

After several days of treatment at United Hospital, his condition did not improve. He was then transferred to Evercare Hospital (Apollo) on Saturday (September 5).

A board meeting of doctors was held at Evercare on Wednesday to monitor Farooq's condition. Their idea is that this actor is suffering from TV disease. However, the doctors could not confirm this yet. Some more tests need to be sure.

So these tests will be done at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore, said Farooq. He has already been allowed to go to Singapore for treatment. If all goes well, he will fly to Singapore on Sunday.

Farooq has been on the big screen for almost five decades. But now he is no longer seen acting. He was elected a Member of Parliament for the first time from Awami League in the Dhaka-17 constituency in the Eleventh Parliamentary Election.
