In the first match of the Super League, Saifuddin snapped up his career-best 5-9. He couldn’t eclipse the record but showed as to why he is considered as the best weapon for Bangladesh in the upcoming World Cup.

He returned figures of 5-32 to dismantle the Prime Bank’s top order after they were sent to bat first. Along with Saifuddin, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza also dazzled with 2-50 to leave Prime Bank in a precarious 66-6. This was their much-needed victory after their four-wicket defeat to
Sheikh Jamal in the previous match.

Taskin Ahmed’s fiery bowling just after his World Cup snub, helped Rupganj to bowl Prime Doleshwar out for 205 in 45 overs. Shahriar Nafees, however, made the target a calk-walk, hitting his eighth List A century that sailed the side home with 208-3 in 44.2 overs.

Nafees hit 11 fours and one six in his 142 ball-113 not out which came at moment when Rupganj lost inform opener Mohammad Naim before they opened the account as chasing the target.

Earlier, electing to bat first, Prime Doleshwar had no answer to deal with Taskin’s immense pace that unsettled them right from the words go. His fellow pacer Mohammad Shahid also put up a good performance by claiming 3-35, much to the disappointment of Doleshwar batsmen.
