Faridpur district council chairman dies of COVID-19

Freedom fighter Lokman Hossain Mridha, Chairman of Faridpur district council, died of COVID-19. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un.
He died at Sheikh Russel Gastroliver Hospital in Dhaka on Friday noon.
District Awami League vice-president Lokman Hossain was admitted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital on June 22 with fever and shortness of breath. The next day, after testing the samples in the PCR lab of Faridpur Medical College Hospital, he was found to be infected with coronavirus. When the situation deteriorated, he was taken to Dhaka.
Lokman Hossain left behind two sons and one daughter. He was the resident of Habeli No. 2 in Master Colony of Gopalpur Mahalla of the city. He was a teacher of Faridpur High School. He was mostly known as Lokman Master. People of different professions including politicians of Faridpur have expressed their grief over his death.
According to family sources, the time of his funeral will be announced after the body is brought from Dhaka.
