Farida Yasmin, Ilias elected National Press Club’s president, GS

Farida Yasmin, a journalist working for Daily Ittefaq, has won the post of president of the National Press Club’s management committee for the 2021-22 term. Besides, Ilias Khan has won the post of general secretary.

The results were announced on Thursday (December 31) night.

Farida Yasmin, a candidate of the Muktijudder Chetonar Sangbadik Forum, won with 571 votes. Her nearest rival Kamal Uddin Sabuj got 395 votes.

Meanwhile, Ilias Khan won the post of general secretary with 566 votes. His nearest rival Omar Faruk got 393 votes.
