The New York Police Department has recovered the decapitated and dismembered body of Fahim Saleh, co-founder of ride-sharing venture Pathao and a Bangladeshi born US technology entrepreneur, from his New York apartment. However, the police have given a gruesome description of the incident even though they have no idea about the motive of the murder so far.
According to the New York police, Fahim’s mutilated body was found at the scene where the head, two arms, two legs – all were separated from the body. There was also a bag next to it. Although the bag has not been opened yet.
The intelligence agency was waiting for a fingerprint of the scene and a forensic test report of the body, the police also said, adding that a surveillance camera in the elevator also found some footage of Fahim’s movements. He was last seen inside the elevator on Monday, the police said.
“A man in a suit, gloves, hat, and mask was seen following him at the time,” according to New York police, believing that he was shot or pushed shortly after leaving the elevator. The perpetrator also had a suitcase. “The killer is very professional,” police added.
It is learned that the building where Fahim lived was a very recently built apartment. Fahim, 33, bought the luxury apartment in New York last year for $2.25 million.
Like Pathao, Fahim Saleh started another motorbike sharing company in Nigeria. He was the chief executive officer of that organization.
