Facebook page spreading rumors on HSC is fake: ministry

Students are being misled by false information on the Facebook page called ‘Ministry of Education Board’, as a result, the Ministry of Education has warned the parents and students about this, saying that “the examination date (October 15) was given in the page was a rumor. No decision has been taken yet on the opening of educational institutions and HSC examinations.”
The information has been given in a press release sent to the media from the ministry on Saturday.
The press release said it has been noticed recently that it has been noticed that teachers, parents and students are being misled through social media by opening fake pages and profiles in the name of the Ministry of Education (Ministry of Education Board), opening educational institutions, announcing various fictitious dates for HSC and equivalent examinations.
Teachers, parents and students are requested to be vigilant in this regard.
According to the Ministry of Education, no decision has been taken yet on when the educational institution will be reopened and when the HSC and equivalent examinations will be held due to health risks. The test will be taken only if the situation is favorable. The date of the examination will be announced through the media.
The press release further called on the public not to heed any fake page or social media information. The Ministry of Education has a verified Facebook page. Also, it was requested not to be confused by believing the information on any other page.
