FM Abdul Momen tests coronavirus positive

Foreign Minister Dr. Abdul Momen was diagnosed with the coronavirus. As a result, he could not attend the conference of the foreign ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to be held in Niger. He was scheduled to leave for Niger today.
A press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday said that the Foreign Minister had undergone a COVID test for attending the OIC conference. Although there was no symptom of the virus in his body, the result came positive.
The Foreign Minister is currently in isolation at home following the doctor’s advice and is healthy, the press release also said.
Foreign Secretary Masud bin Momen was also diagnosed with the coronavirus. He was tested positive in the sample test for his visit to Niger. He is also in isolation at home following the doctor’s advice and is healthy.
Earlier, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam was contracted coronavirus. He is still in isolation.
