Coronavirus has been hampering import and export for about a month. As a result, transactions in the banking sector may be delayed. Therefore, the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI), the top business organization of the businessmen, has urged the government to take special measures on loan assistance and repayment of the loan.

Sheikh Fazle Fahim, president of FBCCI said this at a press conference at the chamber building on Saturday.

He said that if the companies that have open bonds (LCs), but are not getting shipments or it is timely to shipments, I request the concerned banks to give short-term loans outside the LC Limited to those companies.

The FBCCI president hoped that the stalemate would be removed soon with the cooperation of all. He said China's export trade will begin to normalize from February 24.

At that time, Sheikh Fazle Fahim urged all concerned not to intercept any Chinese goods in the ports or to make any delay for release.

FBCCI Vice President Md. Siddiqur Rahman, former president Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin and other members of the council were present.
