The export trade was closed for six hours in protest of harassment at the Petropole port of India in the name of checking the driving license of Bangladeshi export cargo truck drivers.

Bangladeshi truck drivers have stopped exporting goods to India since Sunday morning. After the meeting of custom officers, BGB, BSF senior officials and labor leaders of the two countries, the export was resumed at noon.

Assistant Commissioner of Benapole Customs Uttam Chakma said that the truck drivers called for a strike due to the BSF blockade at Petropole port. As a result, the export trade has stopped. To resolve the issue, the BGB and BSF have been negotiating with the concerned people.
