Expert committee recommends lockdown in 7 more districts

The expert committee of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) recommended imposing lockdown in seven more districts to prevent coronavirus(Covid-19) infection.
These districts are - Khulna, Jashore, Kushtia, Satkhira, Natore, Naogaon and Rajshahi.
A decision on the lockdown in seven districts will be taken at a cabinet meeting at the ministry on Sunday afternoon. Earlier on Saturday, the expert committee recommended lockdown in the seven districts at another meeting.
Meanwhile, a one-week strict lockdown has been imposed in Chapainawabganj district since May 24 midnight in a bid to contain the spread of Covid-19. The measure came after the district, which shares border with India's West Bengal, reported an alarming 55 percent positivity rate out of tested samples.
No long-distance transports except ambulances, press and goods-laden vehicles are allowed to enter or leave the district during the lockdown.
