Experimental vaccination to school children from Thurs

Bangladesh will start rolling Covid-19 vaccines to students ages between 12 to 17 on a trial basis from Thursday.
Professor Dr. Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam, director general (DG) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), said in a Facebook live on Wednesday.
He said there would be a vaccination center at the Colonel Malek Medical College Center in Manikganj experimentally. After vaccinating 50 to 100 children on the first day, they will be monitored.
At the end of the observation, the vaccination program for school students in the capital Dhaka will be launched on a “large scale”, said Dr. Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam said at the time.
Noted that people over 18 are now being given the vaccine jab in Bangladesh. The World Health Organization (WHO) has no direct guidelines for vaccinating people under 18.
