Coronavirus infection is on the rise. The death toll is also rising. All areas of the Rajshahi district are now in the red zone as 910 people have been infected with the coronavirus. However, no decision like lockdown has come yet.

Rajshahi Civil Surgeon on Friday afternoon. Enamul Haque said the population in Rajshahi is 3 million. The number of victims is 910 people. All areas of the district and metropolis are now red zones as per the terms of the zone declaration on the basis of infection rate per million populations. But the conditions of lockdown are different. Due to which it is not possible to declare a lockdown.

According to the Civil Surgeon's Office, the number of coronavirus cases in the Rajshahi district and metropolis has risen to 910 by Friday morning. Of these, 650 victims are in metropolitan areas.

Besides, there are 20 in Bagha Upazila, 28 in Charghat, 14 in Puthia, 12 in Durgapur, 31 in Bagmara, 41 in Mohanpur, 37 in Tanore, 67 in Poba and 10 in Godagari.

Nine people have died in Rajshahi so far. Five of them died in the Rajshahi metropolis. Apart from this, one person has died in each of Bagha, Charghat, Paba, and Mohanpur.

The Civil Surgeon's Office does not have the information of the two corona patients who died while undergoing treatment at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital on Thursday night. If they are caught, the death toll in Rajshahi is now 11.

So far 140 coronavirus victims have recovered in Rajshahi. And others 761 people are under treatment. Of these, 590 are undergoing treatment in the metropolis. The rate of infection is much higher in urban areas than in rural areas.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Enamul Haque said that after the launch of the lab in Rajshahi, first the samples were tested with importance on the Upazilas. The sample of the city has been tested less than that. That's when Coronavirus went spread across the city.
