Employees must remain in work area during Eid holiday

The government has instructed officials and employees of all government, non-government, autonomous offices and banks, financial institutions to stay at their area of work during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr holiday.
Officials and employees will not be allowed to leave their work area during the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday, said a gazette notification issued the government extending the ongoing lockdown till May 16.
According to the notification, public transport services would resume under some conditions. In districts, public transports must only operate on the periphery; in city corporation areas, buses must not operate beyond designated areas. Naval transport and train services will remain suspended as before. The new restrictions will take effect on Thursday.
Shopping malls and markets will remain open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, maintaining health rules. Markets will be shut down if they fail to maintain the health guidelines, the notification says.
