Emergency telehealth service to launch for BU students

Barishal University (BU) set emergency telehealth care for anyone, including the students, affiliated with the organization to provide medical services during the period of coronavirus pandemic.

By calling on the number 01723040119,    from 9 am to 12 pm as well as 3-6 pm anyone can get the doctors’ suggestions scheduled to start from 8 April (Wednesday), said Proctor of the university Subrata Kumar Das.

He said that all kind of formal and teaching activities are currently closed to prevent the outbreak of corona. They have taken such steps in the decision of the Vice-Chancellor considering the urgent need for closure time.

Any teacher or student at the University can contact the specified number for health advice. 

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Sadequl Arefin (Arefin Matin) said that in case of any unpleasant situation of the university under the current circumstances, anyone can call the number and get advice. At a certain time, a physician will try to assist the sick person with appropriate help.

He added that if a student is suffering from corona, the university administration will stand by him. The best possible cooperation will be made by contacting the proctor on behalf of the sick student through his or her departmental chairman.
