Something new has been come out about coronavirus pandemic among many types of research conducted around the world on how to prevent the deadly virus.
Meanwhile, two Turkish doctors have developed a mask capable of destroying coronavirus germs, according to their claims.
Two doctors from Aksaray University in central Turkey have developed the masks as part of their ongoing project, which aims to stop microbes and viruses from entering the body, and leaving through respiration, including the novel coronavirus.
The state news agency Anadolu reported that ultraviolet rays and an electrical silver base capable of destroying germs have been used in the mask. The infected will not be able to spread the germs through the respiratory tract, sneezing, and coughing while using this mask.
One of the researchers and inventors Dr. Tarik Yilmaz said “First, we designed portable and self-cleaning masks. After that, we wanted to make another one that can destroy the viruses. Research since the 1900s shows that ultraviolet lights kill viruses. We needed time to insert this technology into masks. We created an electricity base, and made it possible to reach the time span to kill the virus. Thus, we produced masks killing viruses with ultraviolet lights,"
In the meantime, they have applied for the copyright of the mask; only then the two doctors will decide to bring it in the market.
