Elderly man found dead at bus on highway

The elderly man got on the Dhaka-bound bus of Mitali Paribahan from Humayun Chattar in Sylhet and was supposed to land at the Bhairab bus stand
Police have recovered the body of an unidentified elderly man from a passenger bus on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Narsingdi.
The body was recovered from the bus in front of the district jail in the Narsingdi municipal area on the highway on Tuesday evening.
It has been reported that the elderly man got on the Dhaka-bound bus of Mitali Paribahan from Humayun Chattar in Sylhet. He was supposed to land at the Bhairab bus stand. When the bus reached the Morjal bus stand area of Raipura in Narsingdi, the passengers and bus helper spotted him dead in the seat.
Later, the bus driver and his assistant stopped the bus in front of the district jail at Velanagar in Narsingdi on the highway and informed the police.
Police recovered the body of the man, aged between 65 and 70, but could not identify him. No documents or mobile phones were found in his possession, police said.
Narsingdi Sadar Model Police Station OC Sawgatul Alam said the body was recovered and kept at the Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. Police are trying to identify him.
