Eid holiday from Thursday, last working day Wed

The Holy Eid-ul-Fitr holiday is starting from Thursday, with this, Wednesday will be the last working day before Eid.
Senior Information Officer of the Ministry of Public Administration Abdullah Shibli Sadiq confirmed the matter to Daily Bangladesh on Tuesday afternoon.
He said as per the prior announcement, the holy Eid-ul-Fitr holiday is starting from Thursday.
Meanwhile, the ongoing lockdown issued over the coronavirus outbreak situation will remain in force till May 16.
According to the lockdown directives, public and private offices are closed except for emergency services. Bank transactions are running on a limited scale. Buses are plying within the district. Inter-district public transport is shut down. Trains and launches are closed. Factories are open. shops and shopping malls are open from 10 am to 8 pm, as per the hygiene rules.
The decision to close government offices at the beginning of the lockdown was strongly effective. Since the extension of the lockdown period from May 5, the activities of the ministries and divisions in the secretariat have increased. As a result, the presence of officers and employees has increased.
According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division on May 5, public and private employees will be forced to stay at work during the Eid holidays.
The directive says that all government, semi-government, autonomous and private offices and officials and employees of banks and financial institutions must be at their respective places of work during the Eid holidays.
