Educational institutions in the country remain closed for a long time as coronavirus prevalence continues across the country, but some people are spreading misinformation over reopening schools, colleges. Senior secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education Akram-al-Hussein said We are not opening an educational institution before September. If the situation improved, then we will decide to reopen educational institutions.

He also said that the decision of reopening educational institutions will be taken jointly by the two ministries.

Last Wednesday, rumors were spread on social media that the educational institution will open after Eid-ul-Azha. Protesting against this, the Ministry of Education said that no decision has been taken yet to reopen the educational institutions after Eid.

Secretary of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education Mahbub Hossain told media on Friday that the decision of reopening educational institutions would be taken after a meeting between the two ministries and high-level discussions with the government.

According to the sources, educational institutions are on leave until August 8. So, a decision will be taken on whether the educational institution will remain closed or reopened after Eid.

Educational institutions remain closed from March 17 to curb the spread of coronavirus. Students have been asked to stay at home. Teachers, education officials, and employees have been asked to complete urgent work in compliance with the health rules. During Eid-ul-Azha, teachers, education officials, and employees have been asked to abide by hygiene rules without leaving their workplaces.
