Eco-friendly cars to be made in Bangladesh

Eco-friendly lithium-ion battery-powered two-wheelers, three-wheelers and four-wheelers will be made in the country. The Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) has given this information through a notification.
For this, a company named Bangladesh Auto Industry Limited is setting up a factory on 100 acres of land in Mirsarai Upazila of Chattogram. It is learned that the factory will start production from 2020-21.
The established plant will produce 60 percent of vehicle parts, including chassis, batteries, software, etc. So these cars will be available at relatively low prices. Of these, sedans will be available at Tk 12-15 lakh, SUVs at Tk 20 lakh, and hatchbacks at Tk 8 lakh.
The cars can travel up to 400 km on a single charge. It only takes 20 minutes charge to cross this path. Besides, it will cost only Tk 2 per kilometer.
They will also make motorcycles which will cost from Tk 50,000 to Tk 1.5 lakh. The batteries of electronic cars are said to be capable of up to 10 years.
