Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, has left the United Kingdom for Canada to begin a new life as a layman, leaving the royal family and luxurious living.
He arrived at Canada's Vancouver Airport on Tuesday morning, local media reported. There he met wife Duchess of Sussex Megan Merkel and eight-month-old son Archie.
Earlier, Prince Harry and Megan Merkel announced the departure of the royal family due to internal conflict. In a later speech, he said, "There was no way to stand back."
From the summer next, no member of the royal family has been in full-time office in Sussex.
Leaving the royal family, Harry-Megan will no longer be able to use their royal title. Besides, they will not represent the queen with any royal duties, military appointments.
The new decisions were made after a meeting on Saturday attended by senior members of the royal family, including Queen Elizabeth II.
Prince Harry attended the Britain-Africa Investment Summit on Monday. He also met British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. He then joined some more meetings. This is his last meeting as a member of the British royal family.
He then departed for Canada from Heathrow Airport in London.
