Dry weather likely

The weather may remain mainly dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country for the next 24 hours ending tomorrow at 9:00 am.

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said this in a weather forecast issued today.

Accroding to the country’s Met Office, rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and the region of Panchagarh.

Besides, day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country during the period, it added.

Meanwhile, the Southwest monsoon has withdrawn from Bangladesh, for this, the trough of low has lied over North Bay, as a result, the monsoon is weak over North Bay. 

The country’s maximum temperature was recorded 33.5°C yesterday at Sitakunda in the Chattogram division while today’s minimum temperature was recorded 20.0°C at Badalgachhi in the Rajshahi division.

Today’s sunset will be at 5:26 pm and tomorrow’s sunrise will be at 6:00 am.
