Dry weather likely; Heatwave to continue

The weather may remain dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky over the country in the next 24 hours ending tomorrow at 9:00 am, said Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) in a weather bulletin issued on Sunday.
According to the Met Office’s weather forecast, mild to moderate heatwave that is sweeping over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Rajshahi divisions and the region of Srimangal may continue and spread.
Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country during the period, it added.
Besides, a trough of low has been lied over the West Bengal and adjoining area.
The country’s maximum temperature recorded 40.0°C yesterday at Jashore district of Khulna division while today’s minimum temperature recorded 19.3°C at Srimangal district of Sylhet division.
Today’s sunset will be at 6:24 pm and Tomorrow’s sunrise will be at 5:29 am.
