The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Sunday predicted light rains or drizzles to occur in different regions of the country although the weather may remain dry in most other parts until 9 am tomorrow.

“Light rain or drizzle is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna and Sylhet divisions and it may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country,” said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.

Light to moderate fog may occur at places over the country from late night till morning, added the bulletin. However, night temperature may fall by 1-2 degree Celsius and day temperature may fall slightly over the country.

As an extended outlook for the next 72 hours, the bulletin predicted night temperature may fall further.

The highest temperature on Saturday was recorded 30.4 degree Celsius in Khepupara of Barishal, while today’s minimum temperature was 12.0 degree Celsius in Srimangal of Sylhet.

The sunsets at 5:35 pm today and rises at 6:43 am tomorrow in the capital.
