Dreamliner ‘Rajhangsha’ arrives

Aircraft Dreamliner ‘Rajhangsha’, the fourth Boeing 787-8 touched Dhaka's runway at 4:44 pm on Saturday. Including the new guest in the flock, Bangladesh Biman’s aircraft stood at 16. 


Upon arrival to the country, the Dreamliner was greeted with a water cannon salute. Senior officials of the Biman were present.

A delegation of Bangladesh Airlines went to the Boeing Company's Delivery and Operations Center in Seattle to bring the plane home.

The team was headed by former Air Chief Marshal Enamul Bari, chairman of the board of directors of Bangladesh Biman. Under his leadership, top-flight officials flew the Dreamliner from the United States to Dhaka.

Bangladesh Biman Airlines’ Chief of Flight Safety Captain Shoaib Chowdhury and Captain Siddique flew the aircraft ‘Rajhangsha’.

Biman’s spokesman Tahera Khandakar confirmed that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will the inaugurated the Dreamliner on 17th September on Tuesday, at 4:00 pm.

The Dreamliner can fly for up to 16 hours continuously. It costs 20 percent less fuel than other aircraft.

The 4th Dreamliner contains all facilities including seat quantity as like three others.

Passengers will also be able to receive other modern amenities, internet, and phone calls.
