Dramatist Mannan Hira dies

Mannan Hira, a renowned dramatist and filmmaker and president of Bangladesh Pathnatak Parishad, has died.
He breathed his last at 8:30 pm on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at Islami Bank Hospital in Shahjahanpur in the capital.
Jhuna Chowdhury, a presidium member of the Bangladesh Group Theater Federation, confirmed the information to the media.
Mannan Hira made the government-funded film ‘Ekattorer Khudiram’. Besides, he also directed theatre and stage plays.
He also directed two short films ‘Gorom Vatr Golpo’ and ‘71-Er Rong Pencil’.
