Doctor dies with fever-asphyxia in Ctg

A doctor has died of fever and shortness of breath at Chittagong Medical College Hospital on Friday night.
The deceased Dr. Arif Hasan lived in Lovelen Abedin Colony of Kotwali Police Station. He was a student of the 49th batch of Dhaka Medical College. He used to treat patients in a private chamber at Pahartali in the city.
Swadhinata Chikitsak Parishad Organizing Secretary Dr. AMM Minhazur Rahman confirmed the matter.
He said the doctor had been suffering from fever for a week. He was rushed to a private treatment hospital in Panchlaish while facing severe breathing difficulties on Friday night. Later, he was shifted to the CMCH when his condition deteriorated. He died before receiving ICU support there.
