Districts at high risk of coronavirus in Bangladesh

The global pandemic has spread its nozzle to every district and area in Bangladesh. Although the highest number of deaths and injuries has been recorded in the capital city of Dhaka, the country’s rest of the parts are also turning to the worsened state in terms of both infection and death day by day.
Meanwhile, 13 districts in the country have been identified as at high risk of coronavirus infection.
According to the latest published list of the government's Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), the top 13 districts affected by the coronavirus in the country are: Chattogram, Narayanganj, Dhaka district, Gazipur, Cumilla, Munshiganj, Munshiganj, Noakhali, Mymensingh, Rangpur, Sylhet, Bogura, and Jamalpur.
The worst situation among the districts is in Chattogram as 2,441 people have been identified infected with coronavirus there. Then, Narayanganj district is in the second position; where 2,147 patients have been identified with coronavirus infection. Dhaka district is in the third place outside the city as 1,076 COVID-19 cases have been identified here.
Besides, 1,065 people infected in Gazipur, 846 in Cumilla, 757 in Munshiganj, 734 in Cox's Bazar, 626 in Noakhali, 491 in Mymensingh, 427 in Rangpur, 347 in Sylhet, 216 in Bogura and 205 in Jamalpur district.
Till Tuesday, a total of 52,445 coronavirus patients have been identified in the country. Of them, a total of 709 people have died. Besides, 11,120 people have returned home after recovering.
