Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni today said the decision of this year’s SSC and HSC examinations will be reviewed, considering the coronavirus situation.
She told reporters on Tuesday afternoon.
Earlier on Sunday, the Education Minister said preparations were underway to shorten this year’s SSC and HSC exams. If it is not possible to take the test, alternatives are being considered with them.
“We made final preparations to open an educational institution, but we were forced to back down from that decision as the Covid-19 infection increased,” the minister said, informing reporters that the educational institutions still need preparations to open.
“However, when the Covid-19 situation comes under control, the school-college will be opened and teaching activities will start.”
Dr. Dipu Moni said, “We are trying to take this year’s SSC and HSC exams in a short syllabus. If that is not possible, alternatives are being considered. That is why we are continuing the education system in an alternative way. Students are getting the opportunity to study through TV, online and assignments.”
Meanwhile, the Education Minister said various steps are being taken to overcome the damage being done to the education system due to the closure of educational institutions.
