Digital system in Meherpur’s schools

Digital management system has been introduced in two schools in Meherpur. The students’ presence will be taken in the biometric system, as well as the SMS that can be reached on the parents’ mobile phones. Teachers and students are happy to be introduced in the digital system.
The presence of students in almost all schools of the district was written in attendance books. Due to technological developments, digital presence system has been added to the educational institution.
Biometric system has been introduced in the secondary school at Gangni’s Karamdi secondary school to prevent school evacuation. Students are entering the class with a fingerprint and returning home with impressions during school recess. CCTV cameras have also been installed in every classroom of the school.
Headmaster Alam Hossain said, “The presence of students in the school had been taken as written in attendance books. Many students did not properly attend the class. Now, there will be no chance. Besides, there is no time killing and the teaching is good.”
Gangni UNO Bishnupad Pal said, “The presence of students in the school increased due to digital attendance and classroom monitoring in CCTV, the benefits are also available. In phases, all the schools of the upazila will be brought under the digital management system.”
