Dhaka-returnee 9 months pregnant contracted COVID-19

A Dhaka-returnee pregnant woman was contracted by COVID-19 in Domar of Nilphamari. With the number of patients in the upazila increased to 11, confirmed upazila health officer Dr. Md. Ibrahim on Monday night.
The virus patient is a 26-year-old resident of Chandinapara in Boragari UP. She is nine months pregnant.
Dr. Md. Ibrahim said the couple returned home from Dhaka on May 17. Upon receiving the news, the Upazila Health Department collected their samples on May 21. Although the husband was tested negative on Monday, his wife was tested positive for the coronavirus. The affected woman has been asked to stay in home isolation.
Meanwhile, UNO Shahina Shabnam of Domar has locked down eight houses in the area, including the house of the victim.
