Dhaka contacts Delhi: FM on India’s vaccine export-ban

Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen today said that Dhaka has contacted Delhi to get the Covid-19 vaccine from India. Details will be obtained soon.
“The Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Health may not know anything about the non-export of Oxford-AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine in India,” he told the media on Monday morning.
India has decided to impose a ban on the Serum Institute, a manufacturer of Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine, to export other countries. The ban is expected to continue for several months.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare sat in a meeting at the Secretariat around 11:30 am on Monday on the issue of India’s ban on the export of coronavirus vaccine invented in Oxford.
