Dhaka-Sylhet Highway to remain closed for 4 days

The Dhaka-Sylhet highway will be closed for four days. Roads and Highways Department of Sylhet closed the bridge for repairing Sherpur and Kagajpur bridges on Friday 6 am which will remain closed till July 7 at 6 am.
Confirming the information, Ritesh Barua, Executive Engineer of Roads and Urban Development Division of Sylhet, said the Dhaka-Sylhet highway has been closed since 6 am on Friday. At the same time, passengers and vehicles have been requested to use alternative roads.
Ritesh Barua said the repair work of the damaged deck slab of 192 km Sherpur Bridge and 197 km Kagajpur Bridge of Sylhet-Dhaka Highway has started from Friday morning. All types of traffic will be closed on the two bridges during the work. As an alternative, all vehicles will run on Sherpur-Moulvibazar-Rajnagar-Fenchuganj-Sylhet road.
