Dhaka Elevated Expressway now visible

The country’s first Dhaka Elevated Expressway has become visible, for this, continuous work has been underway to finish the work on time.
Non-stop work is going on to finish the work on time. It has been seen on the spot that the work progress has been visible from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to Airport, Banani, Mohakhali part. Work has been underway in Tejgaon, Magbazar, Kamalapur and Sayedabad parts.
It is learned that the length of the Dhaka Elevated Expressway – from Shahjalal International Airport to Kutubkhali on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway – will be 46.73 km. The total cost for the implementation of this project has been set at Tk 8,940 crore.
The project has been divided into three tranches to facilitate the construction.
- Tranche-1: Airport to Banani Railway Station.
- Tranche-2: Banani Railway Station to Maghbazar.
- Tranche-3: Maghbazar to Chittagong Road’s Kutubkhali.
The construction work of the first phase has been completed with 1,340 piles out of 1,500 piles, 324 pile caps out of 350 pile caps, 239 columns of 350 columns and 128 out of 350 crossbeams.
