Demand for Marcel LED, smart TVs on rise

The local electronics and electrical appliances manufacturer 'Marcel' has been experiencing growing demand of its LED and Smart televisions across the country.
Nasima Akhter, principal officer of Marcel, said they are manufacturing world-class LED and Smart televisions with advanced types of machinery and technologies. They are using latest technology's panels and ultra-narrow bezel in Marcel televisions, she said, adding new models of Smart televisions with the latest operating system 'Android 7' has been released in the local market.
The sales of Marcel televisions have jumped up by about 25 percent from January to November compared to the previous years.
Marcel is offering 6-month replacement warranty on its televisions and two years warranty for panel and spare parts.
At its factory in Chandra of Gazipur, Marcel has been manufacturing more than 40 models of televisions of 19, 20, 24, 28, 32, 39, 43, 49 and 55-inch. Of which, three models of 32-inch and four models of 24-inch were newly released.
The local brand also released some new models of 32, 39 and 43-inch Smart TV with latest operating system 'Android 7'. Each of these new models is featured with 1GB RAM and 8 GB ROM.
Dr Md Shakhwat Hossen, head of Sales of Marcel products, said they are marketing world's latest technology's LED and Smart TV at reasonable rates in the local market.
Md Al Mahmud Hossain, senior assistant director of Marcel RnD, said, they are manufacturing LED and Smart televisions under their own supervision through strongly following the global standard. Thus, Marcel TV achieved certification on quality standard by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and Testing Certificate from Standard Organization of Nigeria Product Conformity Assessment Program (SONCAP).
He also mentioned that high-quality panels are being used in Marcel Internet-based Android Smart TV. Marcel is manufacturing HADS (High Advance Super Dimension Switch) and IPS (In Plan Switching) panels in ISO class seven dust free clean room, which ensure the quality and durability of the panels. As a result, viewers will get high viewing angle and high contrast pictures. Moreover, the Marcel TVs are huge power efficient.
