Decision on Sri Lanka tour within two days

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) expects Sri Lanka to decide on the Tigers’ upcoming tour within two or three days.
Jalal Younis, Chairman of the BCB’s media and communication committee, said, “We have made it clear, they have to reduce the quarantine period and give us a chance to practice. Otherwise, it is not possible for us to play the series.”
We are now waiting for Sri Lanka’s response. Sri Lanka will let us know their decision. Since this is their national issue, the Sri Lanka Cricket Board cannot take any decision. You know, they have a task force to control the COVID-19. So we can’t impose pressure on them to respond quickly. We are waiting for their response. Hopefully, we will get the answer within the next two-three days, said Younis.
He added that no matter what Sri Lanka does, Bangladesh is taking their preparation, eying to think about the tour positively.
We are ready. We have taken our preparation as we need to. If a positive answer comes, we will be able to formally complete it all within a week. But the problem will arise only when they will take a long time to reply, he added.
BCB will start the corona test of the players from tomorrow ahead of the series. Bangladesh is scheduled to leave the country for Colombo on September 27. And the first Test is due to be held on October 24.
