Death toll from Moghbazar blast rises to 9

Another person, who was injured in an explosion at Moghbazar in the capital, has passed away. With this, the total number of deaths from the blast has risen to nine.
The man named Imran Hossain, 25, died around 6:45 am on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at the ICU of Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka.
Confirming the death, the institute's coordinator Dr Samant Lal said that Imran Hossain used to work in Bengal Meat. He was undergoing treatment in the ICU. 90 percent of his body was burnt.
It has been reported that Imran Hossain was the son of Abdul Mojib Bhuiyan of Laukathi village in Tangail Sadar Upazila.
DMCH police camp inspector Bachchu Mia said the body was kept in the morgue for autopsy.
Earlier on Sunday at 7:30 pm, a massive explosion took place on the Outer Circular Road at the Wireless Junction in Moghbazar. The blast damaged several nearby buildings.
