The death toll from Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip has risen to 35. Among the dead were several women and children. Israel destroyed a multi-storey Hamas building in the attack. Five people have been killed in a counter-missile attack by Hamas in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Reuters reports that Israel carried out hundreds of airstrikes in Gaza in a “matter of hours” on Tuesday. In response, Hamas and other Palestinian militant groups launched a series of missile strikes in Tel Aviv and Be’er Sheva.
A multi-storey building has collapsed in Gaza following Israeli airstrikes. A building next door was also severely damaged.
Israel says it has “targeted Hamas”. The attack was carried out by the country’s intelligence center and missile launch center.
It is to be mentioned that this is the largest counter-attack in Gaza since the 2014 war between Israel and Hamas. Various international organizations have expressed deep concern and said that the new attack could spiral out of control and escalated another war.
