At least 20 people have been killed and several others were injured in a car bomb blast in Afghanistan’s western Ghor province, officials said.
The incident took place at 11 am local time on Sunday in the town of Feroz Koh, the capital of Ghor province, the Afghan Interior Ministry said in a statement.
Interior Ministry spokesman Tariq Aran said most of the casualties were civilians. No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Clashes in Afghanistan continue after inter-Afghan talks between Afghanistan and the Taliban began in Doha, Qatar, ending 19 years of conflict.
Afghanistan’s Independent Human Rights Commission has condemned the attack.
