Deadline for online admission in govt secondary extended

The deadline for online admission application has been extended till 7 January 5:00 pm from first-grade to ninth-grade in government secondary schools across the country. Besides, those who are facing age-related complications can also apply for admission.
The Directorate Of Secondary and Higher Education has issued a notification in this regard on Thursday evening.
According to the notification, it was decided to conduct a digital lottery for admission in all government secondary schools of the country from first to ninth-grade in the 2021 academic year in the interest of protecting the health of students amid the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic situation. However, due to a writ petition in the court, the digital lottery program was postponed on December 29 by the notification of the High Court Division. At the same time, the date of the online application was changed.
The notification further said that students who could not apply due to age-complications will be able to apply now. The software for application has been opened from 5:00 pm on Thursday (December 31) and will run until 5:00 pm on January 7. The lottery for admission will be held on January 11.
It is to be mentioned that an online lottery was organized on December 30 to admit students in government secondary schools across the country in the 2021 academic year. due to the Covid-19 situation, but it was later changed under the High Court direction.
