Day temperature may fall by 2-3°C

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted on Tuesday that day temperature may fall by 2-3 degrees and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
The Met Office also forecasted that light to moderate rain or thunder showers is likely to occur at many places over the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today.
"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barishal, Khulna, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country," said a Met Office release issued this morning.
As an outlook for the next 72 hours, the BMD predicted: "Rainfall activity may decrease".
Maximum rainfall in the country for the last 24 hours till 6:00 am today was recorded 55 milimeters (mm) in Sylhet. Country's maximum temperature was recorded yesterday 36.2 degrees Celsius at Mongla and the minimum temperature today 24.6 degrees Celsius at Chuadanga in Khulna division.
The sunsets at 6:16 pm today and rises at 5:41 am tomorrow in the capital.
