Day temperature may fall by 1-2°C over country

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Thursday predicted that day temperature may fall by 1-2 degrees Celsius and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Meanwhile, a mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka and Khulna divisions and the regions of Rangamati, Noakhali, Feni, Srimangal, Rajshahi and Pabna and it may abate from places.
The Me Office also forecasted that weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today.
Besides, "Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and the districts of Kishoreganj and Cumilla," said a met office release issued this morning.
The country’s maximum temperature was recorded yesterday by 39.7 degree Celsius at Rajshahi and the minimum temperature today was recorded by 20.0 degree Celsius at Sylhet.
Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6 am today was recorded by 09 millimeters (mm) at Sylhet.
The sun sets at 6:20 pm today and rises at 5:36 am tomorrow in the capital.
