Day temperature may fall by (1-3)°C

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Monday forecasted that day temperature may fall by (1-3)°C and night temperature may rise by (1-2)°C over the country in the next 24 hours ending at 9:00 am tomorrow.
Rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at many places over the country during the period, said the Met Office in a release.
According to the release, rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Khulna, Barishal, Dhaka & Chattogram divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh & Sylhet divisions with hails at isolated places over the country.
Meanwhile, a trough of westerly low lies over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining area of Bangladesh, said the release adding that seasonal low lies over South Bay.
The maximum temperature was recorded 30.4 degrees Celsius yesterday at Sitakunda in Chattogram division and today’s minimum temperature 13.2 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur division.
The sunsets at 6:02 pm today and rises at 6:17 am tomorrow in the capital city.
