Abul Asad, the editor of the Daily Sangram newspaper, who was allegedly arrested on Friday night in a lawsuit under the Digital Security Act filed with Hatirjhil police station, produced to the court on Saturday.

Tejgaon zone deputy police commissioner Biplob Talukder has confirmed the news to the press.

It is learnt, Mohammad Afzal, the 36 ward freedom fighter commander filed the case because a report was published in the newspaper where Jamaat leader Abdul Quader Mollah who was executed for committing crimes against humanity was titled as ‘martyred’.

It has been reported that 7-8 people have been charged in the case along with the editor of Daily Sangram.
