Daily Covid-19 deaths, cases increasing in country

The deaths from the Covid-19 in the country have increased on Tuesday as 39 more people died in the last 24 hours where 21 people died on Monday. With this, a total of 6254 died so far by the virus in the country.
Besides, the number of infections has also increased than Monday as 2212 new cases were confirmed during the period, surging the tally of infections to 436,684. The number of virus cases on Monday was 2139.
Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) came up with the information in a press release issued on Tuesday.
According to the release, a total of 15,990 samples were tested at 113 authorized laboratories across the country during the time.
Besides, the recovery count rose to 3,52,895 after another 1749 patients were recovered from the virus during the period.
The first coronavirus death was reported in the country on March 18, ten days after the detection of the first COVID-19 cases.
The coronavirus, that first reported in China late last year, is now affecting 213 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances.
As of this afternoon, a total of 55,423,942 people has been diagnosed with the virus worldwide, as the death toll rises to 1,333,683 while 38,558,064 patients have recovered, according to worldometers data.
