Daily Covid-19 deaths, cases increase in country

The Covid-19 cases and deaths in the country have increased as the country has recorded 35 deaths and 2525 fresh cases in the last 24 hours. It was 20 deaths and 2273 cases yesterday.
The recovery count rose to 380,711 after another 2,539 patients were discharged from the hospitals during the period, a press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said today.
“35 more COVID-19 patients died in the last 24 hours, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 6,644,” the release said.
It said the tally of infections has surged to 464,932 as 2525 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
A total of 15,372 samples were tested at 117 authorized laboratories across the country during the time.
The first COVID-19 positive cases were reported in the country on March 8 and the first death on March 18.
