Daily Covid-19 deaths, cases fall in country

The Covid-19 cases and deaths in the country have declined as the country has recorded 20 deaths and 2273 fresh cases in the 24 hours.
“20 more COVID-19 patients died in the last 24 hours, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 6544,” the press release said issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Friday.
It said the tally of infections has surged to 458,711 as 2,273 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
The recovery count rose to 373,676 after another 2,223 patients were discharged from the hospitals during the period, the press release of the DGHS also said.
A total of 16,378 samples were tested at 117 authorized laboratories across the country during the time.
The first COVID-19 positive cases were reported in the country on March 8 and the first death on March 18.
