After a career-best 90 from Nkrumah Bonner, Joshua Da Silva and Alzarri Joseph’s rollicking partnership help the West Indies to post 409 on the board in the first innings of the second Test against Bangladesh at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka on Thursday.
Joshua Da Silva also missed the first opportunity to score a Test hundred as he bowled out by Taijul at 92 while Alzarri Joseph played devastating innings of 82 with the help of 8 fours and 5 sixes.
Earlier, steady Nkrumah Bonner, who was on his way to a maiden century, was evacuated by Mehidy Hasan Miraz.
After the departure of Bonner, Bangladeshi bowlers were optimistic about bundled out the West Indies within 350 but the partnership between Da Silva and Alzarri Joseph made them wrong.
Abu Jayed and Taijul finish with four wickets while Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Soumya Sarkar picked up one for each.
