DU`s `Kha` unit entry test held

The admission test of Dhaka University's 'Kha' unit for 2020-21 academic session was held today from 11am to 12.30pm peacefully in all eight divisions because of the pandemic situation. 

"The examination was held peacefully and there was no news of any untoward incident. Strict hygiene rules were maintained at all the venues of the divisional cities," said DU Vice Chancellor Prof Akhtaruzzaman after visiting the exam halls. 

A total of 47,639 aspirant participated in the exam against 2,378 seats with 20 students against each seat at 68 centers inside and outside the Dhaka University campus, said a press release. 

A total of 3, 24,340 students have applied for the test against the total 7,148 seats under five units. The exam for the "Cha" unit (General Knowledge) will take place on October 9 while the exam for the "Ga" unit will be held on October 22, and the "Gha" unit on October 23. 

DU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman, Pro VC (administration) Dr Mohammad Samad, Pro-VC (administration) ASM Maksud Kamal visited the different exam centers in Dhaka. 

The universities outside Dhaka where exams are taking place are Chattogram University, Rajshahi University, Khulna University, Bangladesh Agricultural University in Mymensingh, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology in Sylhet, Barishal University, and Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur.
