DU ranks 134 in Asia’s best universities list

Dhaka University (DU) has risen one step further as the “Oxford of the East” has ranked 134 in the list of the best 1000 universities in Asia. Last year, DU was ranked 135. 

Besides, the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) has ranked 199.

The data was published on the university rankings website of the UK-based Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings on Wednesday.

National University of Singapore has topped the list while Tsinghua University of China has placed 2nd and Nanyang Technological University of Singapore has placed 3rd in the list.

A total of 11 universities in Bangladesh have been included in the list of the best 1000 universities in Asia compiled by the QS.

Other universities in Bangladesh are — North South University (228th), BRAC University (271-80th), Independent University (350-400th), Daffodil International University, East West University and United International University (401-450), Khulna University Of Engineering & Technology KUET (451-500th), Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology and American International University Bangladesh AIUB (551-600th).
